Briefing

A pretty comprehensive briefing. It includes a seperate mission information page linked to from the plan section. The plan section itself gives a good outline for the mission. All the info you need is there and even more - however not too much (most MP briefings get skipped).

Onto the weapon selection. There is no weapon selection available from the briefing, however there is a one in the mission. It is somewhat limited with only one weapon available, it adds to the difficulty - but deducts from enjoyability.

The map is somewhat crowded, for example the insertion and extraction markers share the same position.

Mission

The mission works, there are no client-server bugs and no errors messages. However, the AI are 'spawn options' and should be rendered useless in any other aspect. So be aware of this and don't try to play it on your own expecting help from the AI.

Although the mission is short with only one objective - destroy the radar tower - you can have loads of fun with it thanks to the challenging yet sometimes frustrating enemy. Teamwork is essential if you want to complete the mission without casualties, as the enemy is likely to wait for you. They are far from dynamic and prefer waiting for you while in cover before pumping some bullets into your direction. Teammates and good reflexes are required to live another day.

As this mission is short, it's likely that you will stop playing it after a number of runthroughs. To encourage you to keep going the author included some music, though enjoyable - it causes the file to weigh a MP heavy 2 meg. A few other errors: leader unit not on top in the lobby, short route seems best and the destruction of the radio tower is easy when breaking through the guard at the back gate. Also the chopper that shows up after a while is frustrating - you can't do much versus that tough machine.

Special

There are options to choose from in the lobby. Difficulty (AI skill) is the most notable. With all the options present, you will be in for a long night. Dealing with the hardest difficulty sure is a lot more challenging than playing on the lowest setting. Especially if you decide to play without NV Goggles.

Overall

I'm sure MP fanatics will enjoy or probably have already enjoyed playing this mission. If you like coops play this one with a lot of your friends and leave the AI out of play - they will do more harm than good. The difficulty is fine, you have a number of options, replayability is alright. Upon completing it, you probably won't play it often. Are you into SP, like the AI's possibilities? It's probably not your mission.
