Review by Ironman
The intro is done very well. The camera is simulating a UAV for most of the intro and is using basic camera movement. There are also added sound bits that add to this very well made intro.
It is an intro that new comers should look at and learn from. Once you get sick of seeing it you can also toggle the intro off.
All the links work and the briefing is only one page. There is another page you can view if your heart desires but it is not necessary. You may also grab your favorite weapon from the loading screen.
The first part of the mission is challenging because you have to use hay bales to conceal your movement up to the town. Do not be hasty and jump into a humvee or you will be engaged by an enemy MG up in the tower. There will most likely be an onslaught of RPG's heading in your direction as well, for there are many RPG soldiers.
Once inside the town you have to secure the pilot and spec ops operator. The player has the choice whether to collect them both at the same time or individually. However, if the Medic dies the pilot and spec ops man will stop following you and never join your group again. I do not think this is neither a negative nor a positive. It is a feature of the mission which means the medic has to be careful.
So now you must face an uphill battle to take a tower that is defended by a handful of troops. Be careful though, once you clear the tower, prepare for a counter attack.
The scripts used are from Norrin and Mandoble. They are very commonly used scripts and can be found in our Editor's depot. The mandoble missile script is a nice added touch when you have to take the tower and defend it.
This is a mission you would want to play with at least a 4 man team. But, do not let your guard down after the tower is cleared. Even though you have probably been in battle for about 30 minutes there are still about 15 more minutes of intense action. Definitely another great mission from SharkAttack!
