« on: 27 Jan 2004, 05:12:47 »
Hi!!

I just discovered a mission editor in the Multiplayer section!!! What the hell!!!

I'm just a little affraid here. I am currently editing a multiplayer mission, must it be then edited in the multiplayer editor!???

Is the mission I am building in the normal editor no good for multiplaying?? I'm asking cos I tried my mission in the multiplayer wityh my bro and I get very different reactions. I mean it works when I try in the editor but once in the multiplayer...

...And what about the Mission Wizard?!?

Please help me!!

The multiplayer editor is just the same as the one from
the main menu, with the only difference: you can launch
multiplayer games by previewing the mission.

In singleplayer editor, you pop straight into the mission, but
in mp you walk thru the unit selection + briefing.
(sure there's a way to watch the briefing in sp editor by pressing shift+preview, but not by default).

Another interesting advantage of the mp editor is:

you can respawn

:note - that make's it even worth, to edit your singleplayer
maps from the mp editor, as it allows you easier testing
of your maps.

The wizard let's you create missions upon a template, like:

CTF COOP TDM TCTF

You can learn a lot of things, it you create such a template
just to study it bit for bit later.
