Briefing

The Briefing provides the necessary information that your assault team needs to carry out the mission successfully. The objectives are clear, the area of operation is defined and the enemy's presence has been identified including when and where the support will come from if your team is detected. Markers are present to highlight the targets and all links work accordingly. In addition to your clearly defined objectives, you and your assault team will also be briefed with an explanation of your missions purpose and given withdrawal instructions that lead to your extraction from the AO. The ability to select your weapons loadout is present as well.

Mission

First and foremost, as any Special Operation should be, the Operators have the ability to choose his/her weapon loadout and time of mission start. This coupled with the addition of random starting points provides great re-playability for the group. Those changing elements will also effect the difficulty of approach and the overall outcome of each replay. Although two of the target objectives are static, at least one remains partially dynamic. But as the AO is confined to the compound walls, those dynamics are heavily restricted. Though static objectives are easily overcome, there remains a healthy fill of very mobile enemy units stationed around the base that eagerly wait to greet you. But don't waste too much time shaking their hands or fighting from a pinned position or you will be faced with a force much larger and formidable than your first adversaries. Upon completion of your tasks, you must follow the extraction protocol but at the least have the option of choosing your transportation to that point, provided you didn't have too much collateral damage during your satchel spree. Go west young man/woman and victory is but a few clicks away.

Special

The three beginning factors that effect the randomness of the mission are key additions that every multiplayer mission should contain. Weapon selection, Hour of mission start and random start locations. If you have less than five guys in your team, you can still play with the option of spawning into one of the AI's upon an untimely demise.

Overall

Defined initially as a MP coop, this mission could also have been playable as a difficult SP mission. With the randomness implemented into this project, there is no doubt that this labor of love will provide a couple of hours of training or explosive arcade style, fast paced blasting action for any small group of friends that download it.
