No Addon Levels Work.
« on: 26 Mar 2003, 00:54:24 »
I put the downloaded levels into my "missions" folder, and when i click on them in the selection screen in the game, i get kicked out of the game, and I cant do ANYTHING, i cant ctrl-alt-del, click the start menu, etc.

Is there a fix for that?

Your system: P3 - 450 mhz, 16 mb graphics

What missons: any i download

Exactly what did you do: put the .pbo files into the mission folder, opened the game, went to single mission, clicked on the name of the mission, and got kicked out to the main windows 98 screen, at which point, I have to retart my computer, as i cannot do anything until i do

What version of the game are you running : Just a regular install of the game out of the box: no updates.

that may be it... since the current version of OFP is 1.91 - ur version from the box is 1.0 - many of these missions u downlaod will be newer than 1.0, and new commands and scripting commands have been introduced with updates - this is why it crashes - u need to update ur game to at least 1.46 - and i reccoment u prucharse reisstance upgrade too

For upgrades go to the official website here.

If you have a 56k or slower internet connection you may find it useful to use a download manager like Getright, which you can get free off the net.   (search on Google)

Another possibility is that you do not have the required addons for a given mission ..... always check the mission readme.
Plenty of reviewed ArmA missions for you to play
