Just an idea for a wee mini mod me and gav are working on!

Now first off me and my flatmate have been busy hence the jap ww2 packs been so long lol...

But first off we are intending to finish the jap pack (it includes new models for troops and several vehicles - um a tankette and some trucks -) overall not bad tho it needs some coding help !

Ummmm.... Right so anyway i hope this is ok by current forum rules governing time periods but here goes!

Me and gavin thought it would be cool to have a Western Mod set during the period of the American Civil War - and over the rebel insurgency period in Mexico...

So basically its not about their big pitch battles (though they will have troops and stuff in it) it will be about you the hero or bandit ect going on adventures, travelling from village to village etc etc. The mod would feature a lot of character in the player models! Plus historical firearms!

The real problem with this idea comes with horses i.e. there is just little to no chance of their being a horse addon that you can saddle up on lol...

But that aside we hope to have first of...
(Amerian Cowboys) like many featured in those classic spaghetti westerns
(Mexican Bandits - Revolutionaries)
(Civilians American - Native American Mexican)
Red Indians
Mexican Soldiers
Union Soldiers
Confederate Soldiers

So there u go thats just an idea, if worse comes to worse there will be a horse addon (a horse without moving legs) but we will see.... and yes there will be a gatling gun?

As I told you before I loved the idea! And i still do
Comboy's wow thats what every boy loved when he was a small boy.
To ride a horse and stuff like that.

But back to the mod.
Now the horse part. Now that we can make new animations maybe you can find someone that animate the horse leggs for ya.
Dont know if its possible. try to ask some arround. Lets hope you will sucseed whit your goal.

Well, you can do a bike, that has animations as it moves, so maybee you can do it like that. I like the idea, and OFP's big Islands will do just great to have adventuring on. Look forward to hearing more about it!

sounds like a good idea to me......maybe a little hard to do though.....instead of your OK Coral gun fighting your gonna get cowboys thinking tactically and finding cover whilst they take careful aim from the prone posistion  :-\.
