VBS1 to be released!!! (?)
« on: 21 Oct 2002, 10:11:38 »
I don't know if this has already been covered, or if this is the right place, but it appears that over at http://www.virtualbattlefieldsystem.com/
it is said that VBS1 is coming out this month (being October).
Don't know if it's only for military purposes, but theres the chance BIS and Coalesence technologies may release an upgrade pack for OFP that contains units from VBS1.

Yay!!!!

You should have read the whole story:

"VBS1â„¢ is not intended for entertainment purposes and is available only to federal, state, and local government agencies for military, law enforcement, and first responder training."

So you have to wait for OFP2...

And of course, Independence Lost. Which will be like OFP 1½ ;)
"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming 'WOW What a Ride!'"

that page is older than the news thats on the intropage of VBS1 so it might be released for the public

i send a mail to som1 from BIS hope to get a mail back soon

if VBS1 will be released some stuff will be took out of the pack like the AAAV and MV22 as they are still prototypes and have clasified interior

Vixer does have a point ... plus the fact that the US Army gave away a whole simulation game which from a graphics point fo view give BIS something to think about. I feel that all the attention that that game got may get the Marines thinking ..... and us hoping  .. true ?
