  • I'm never wrong ....I'm just not always right !
Please Note: The links in this topic will not work until we have the depots back up. All other advice is still relevant however

This topic exists to collect further information on 'actions' that have not yet been documented or discovered yet.
A list of possible actions still to be investigated is to be found further below.
There may be others but that is the current list that still needs to be researched.

Please do NOT post questions in this topic - it is only for gathering information.

This sticky topic is a replacement for an older sticky topic called 'The time for "Action" has come!' which has been unstuck and has now floated away.

The information in that topic has been collated and made into a small html document which has been submitted to the Editors Depot.   Some is also the result of my own experimentation, which was done some time ago, and could be less than thorough.

The html document is available here

The old topic can still be viewed here.

  • If you know how to use any of the 'alleged' actions in this list please post the information here.

  • Equally, if you know of any actions not included here or in the document submitted to the Editors Depot, post that information here.

  • Finally, if you find any errors in the document in the Editors Depot, please post them here too.

Action commands can have a maximum of five parameters; if more than five are given an error will be generated.
Most action commands don't require five parameters, most use one or two.

    Example using one parameter:
            aircraftname action ["Flaps down"]

    Example using two parameters:
            unitname action ["getin cargo",vehiclename]

    Example using five parameters:
            unitname action ["drop magazine",unitname,0,0,"m16"]

The first parameter is the action itself e.g. "drop magazine".
The second parameter is the target of the action, e.g. unitname.
The third and fourth parameters seem to be placeholders e.g. 0 and 0.
The fifth parameter is what the action is being performed with e.g. "m16"

I know a little about a lot, and a lot about a little.
