Nah, before that people messed with the other files, as there was a Huey before Oxygen was ever released.

What can I say? Eviscerator is a badass modeller  ;)

It's actually an altered UH60 model, rather than a "fresh" model. People were playing around with P3Dedit before O2 came out, so any "new" models tended to be modded versions of the bog-standard BIS ones.

That's true, and i've been doing some research on this as well...apparently, there was an illegal mod for MilkShape 3D as well to export MLOD files (p3d's probably, opflash format). Please tell me if everyone knew that already and i'm making a fool of myself here!  :'(

The very first addon was more than likely made by Kegetys, and it was in the first few weeks/month of OFP being released AFAIK

As much as I recall the first addon ever was the
"Masterkey M4"
No new modell, nor any new Textures, just the M203 replaced
with a shotgun thingy.
Right after the Kozlice came out I think.

But don't really know who made it. Don't think it was Ketegeys
but in the dustcircle...

Hmmm....
Maybe an Addon Hall Of Fame would be in order?
It could feature addons that have implemented new features necer seen before these particular ones came out.

True, but Kegetys' Hawk was the first user made OFP addon that had completely NEW model ;), this wasn't possible before Oxygen.

User made OFP addons started coming right after the 1.1 patch as it made addons possible. AFAIK first retextured addon was Kegetys' Masterkey, though it had only new brownish handle ;D. During those times addon makers had to use Hex editors to replace textures. find texture paths and so on. It wasn't possible to view textures outside OFP so you had to view them in mission preview window ;D, thank god BIS released Texview. Also without Texview you couldn't convert textures to paa or pac format, so they had to be JPG.

First retextured island was also made by Kegetys. Before his Winter Kolgujev there where some modified islands like Everon with sand textures and stones. Ebud made also an island masterpiece, Jungle Everon.

Captain Moore's artilliary addon claimed to be the first but the model was already in the game as static artiliary..he just made it move and fire...the hawk was the first fully new model in OFP.
