Title: How to make an intro using two islands?
Post by: Rytuklis on 25 Jan 2013, 15:50:02
Is it possible to make an intro using two islands? What i mean is - i want to make an intro where the Russian Army is staying in a base in Utes, and then transition the camera into the island of Chernarus and i want to make a cutscene the Army storming the place. Is it possible?

Not really.

I guess you have two options if it seriously has to be Utes and not some place at Chernarus claiming it is on Utes:
- "Mini campaign" where the intro is actually two different missions located on two different places
- make video instead of in-game cutscene (play video function (http://www.ofpec.com/COMREF/index.php?action=read&id=231#playvideo))

You mean the mission where you fly from island to another?
That was the first option on the list, it's a two part mission.

Oh. And how to merge two missions like that?

You need to do it as a campaign: for example first mission would be just an cutscene happening on Utes, then the next mission would the actual mission with intro happening on Chernarus.
