Title: Logo in singleplayer?
Post by: Blacknite on 23 Sep 2009, 13:10:05
Hello,
I know you can setup a clan/squad logo in multiplayer, but is it possible to do it in singleplayer?  Im just curious about having a flag on the side of vehicles and as such.

Some objects can display pictures in game, using the command setObjecttexture. It's a property of the addon/model. Back in the OFP-days many soldier addons had armpatches that could be changed this way.

In vanilla ArmA2 you can use setObjecttexture on the flags and the video screen, found under Empty >> Objects.

The image should be in .paa format and goes directly into the mission folder (or any subfolder of your choice there in)

Correct. My mistake.  But .paa files are smaller and will load much faster

OFFTOPIC:
Just I cannot create PAA... :( I tried, but paa tools said, 32bit TIFF needed and my old PaintShopPro can only create 24bit TIFF.

Tried doing it on a tank but I dont believe its the same one as the ones being used from xml.  The picture will cover a certain area of the tank (like the entire top part or the entire track of the tank).  Also tried it on helo and got the same results.
