Thanks for the feedback.
Just a few additions I forgot to write about:

RTE Capture is not required for this alpha version!

To install it, simple copy ION_RTE.pbo and ION_RTE_Dta.pbo into a mod folder of your choice (I would prefer @RTEditor ;) )

The old manual (http://rte.jonasscholz.de/manual) still is valid for the handling of RTE V for ArmA 2.

i0n0s.. can you put a link to the tutorial videos and manual on the first post.

might help people who are new to RTE to grasp the complex nature of it.

though it takes around 5-6 hours of messing around with it to become comfortable with it. the time it saves and the depth of the scenarios that can be made/generated is incredible.

 :)

Just a big update:

I finally got a new version of RTE Capture ready which supports ArmA II.

What does this mean?
Easy: You now can set the ArmA II profiles easily!

Is this all? ???
*err* No!  :D
Export is working for ArmA II. Shortly: The full power of the RTE V is now unleashed in ArmA II!

You can find here the download of RTE Capture (http://rte.jonasscholz.de/blog/2009/06/19/download) (Setup.X.exe). It will install RTE automatically.

Here is a manual for RTE Capture (http://rte.jonasscholz.de/blog/2009/09/03/rte-capture-manual)

Please note that this is still an alpha version since I haven't fixed the bugs of RTE from the last alpha. But work in progress and since I have completed the RTE Capture, I can focus on RTE.

Congratz i0n0s  :good:

How about a brief, bullet point list/summary for new people to list what you can do with RTE, like

* Build missions and save them
* 3d editor to place objects in easily in the world
* Multiplayer editor: allows multiple people at the same time work on a mission
* Game master mode: one or more guys have the ability to modify a running mission the fly

Make sure your paths to Armed Assault and ArmA II are set correctly (Compare with the picture).

From the pbos, there is only a size different between A1 and A2, the names stayed the same ;)

Just a small update:

To speak with the words of a red car: "Yeah, I am Speed!"

I've improved the speed of the RTE. Previously I could place two groups, then the RTE gets unusable. Now I can place four groups and the RTE gets a little slower. So it works. At least for me  :cool2:
I hope that other can report the same :)

To update the RTE simply run an manual update in RTE Capture.

Since the update i havnt hd any problems  :good: i tried placeing down multiple units at once then it started to go funny, but if you do units/objects one by one, or one or two at a time (C+P) its alright.. Good Job!!  :D

any chance of this getting an update for OA? the built in 3d editor in arma2 is nowhere near good as this yet.

The problem is that I don't have OA and also have a lack of motivation.
Most important step would be to support JayArmA2Lib...

Any idea what could bring back or give you new motivation again?  :-[

man, rte was way better than bis own 3d editor - hopefully you find the motivation to update one of the most crucial tools for editing that i know of.
cheers

In a month or so yes ;)
Currently I have to bring some "knowledge" into my head and so I only have little time to do something different.
