Title: Weapon Movement
Post by: Acid on 25 Mar 2009, 21:33:35
... or should i say reticle movement

What files or what data controls the movement when trying to aim like when looking thourgh a scope and the crosshair keeps bouncing around, that sorta thing ?

dexterity,
dispersion,
recoil

Yea, dexterity does the job but you'd have to be carefull, lower it to much and the weapon pretty much becomes static.

Will changing this effect the AI's ability to hit its target ?

It should from what I can remember.

You have to be careful if you set it too high.
This can lead to AI not shooting at all.

As AI must get a certain "lock" on the target.
So if their cursor jumps too much, they will never fire.

Especially if AI is injured, that can become the case.

You can watch AI aim and note the jumping weapon/hands
or use a camera script to watch them in 1st person view.

I have used "aimprecision" for toning down reticle bouncing.I thought that dexterity was for weapon weight e.g how fast you can turn with that weapon in hand. ???
