hi all ... could do with some feedback to help develop this mission
plays well ... no major bugs encountered so far .. concerned it might be too similar to silva mission ?
have spent a lot of time trying to make it a decent follow up .. any help, suggestions will be much appreciated .. many thanks in advance :good:

situation report

Almost 2 years have passed since a ill fated attempt by covert US military action to rid the world of one of its greatest tyrants General Silva ..
A covert Black Ops team were captured and then forgoten by the government who assinged them the task. Recent press releases by Sharanian state run television show the men are alive and held in captivity somewhere in the region.
The newly elected commander in chief is outraged and is deamnding there immediate release. Your team have been orderd to stand by for immediate action should negotiations fail.

Briefing
Primary Objectives. the O should be capitalized and s added since there are 2.
Black ops. I think the O should be capitalized. Same thing on missionload text.
Assassinate the Head of ... I think the H should be lower case.
To Prevent... P should be lower case.
Intel Report - space between clerks,pilots
Black Ops pic would be nice to have a border.
No marker visible for the ship location. not a big deal but you might of missed it.
Under notes there is a leading space before the last .
Everything else is good, lots of information.
weaponspool - lots of good stuff here. but there is only a single MP5A5.
Intro
No intro - bummer I was expecting one from you. :D
Mission
We only played a few times so far but we are enjoying it thus far.

an intro is planned ..
a little tip ... dont rush in all guns blazing ... SAM sites can be disabled with a single shot if you find the correct target ..
similar possibilities for destroying / preventing enemy fighters from takeing off ...

We've played this about 6 or 7 times now maybe more. We haven't got up to the air field yet, nor have we got two the second tower. We kind feel like we are under armed if we take the silenced weapons to start, and taking any of the other weapons are pretty loud. If your taking the silenced weapons you often run out of ammo long before you even see the tank. a few times we ran back to the start to reammo.
The atmosphere is pretty good, for the most part its raining during each attempt. Only 1 or 2 times it didn't rain.
I'm almost thinking that the disabledAI for the players side is a bit overkill. Perhaps you could turn that on while its beta testing. or add it to the difficulties, if a player chooses no revives or 3 revives then disable the AI.
Add an east ammo box to the pods area.
So far its pretty tough its going to take some time to complete. :)

as always ... thanks for the reply
regarding the loadout ... what we tend to do is take a silenced pistol and use that until we are compromised .. and a main assault loadout so we are covered when, not if the shit hits the fan ...
i will turn off the disable AI for beta testing .. thanks for heads up !
ps
the objectives do not have to be completed in numerical order ..
group needs to decide which task has priority

Sam Sites - bonus obj: The link does not take you to the proper location.
Assault Ship - bonus obj: The ship is to far out for the link to go to the proper location. Move the ship closer to AO.
Errors:
- mission can only support 8 players not 10.
- when running 1.14 the medium grass option crashes server
GamePlay:
-Taking out artillery pieces does not disable the enemy artillery. I killed everyone in the artillery compound then while trying to move down to the city arty was called on us.
-Hard mission. Not exactly sure how to do it yet... I will come up with a solid plan soon enough though...

Also I forgot to add the white square marker blocks are hard on the eyes.
I also tried the mission on grass med, and its not crashing here. I was playing with Ironman last night and indeed the mission seemed to crash us. but I started the mission several times with grass on medium and no crashing.

I believe hoz is running it on 1.15, not 1.14 like I was

Still having a hard time beating this. Some rocket launchers after the first bunkers would be nice. Maybe there are some but I haven't found them. Also find myself running out of ammo during the first phase. Don't matter which gun I take.
