Title: Tv Guided System "have fun while you fly"
Post by: nuxil on 19 Sep 2008, 01:29:35
Hi all.

im kinda new to this forum. and i want to contribute in some way.
so i have this small addon for you to mess around a bit with.

blow up building,tanks,planes.. what ever you feel lilke.

My current release is 1.4
file @ http://rapidshare.com/files/146414719/Tvs_1.4.rar.html
i know its not the best place to share files :\ but i use it anyway :p

whats new in 1.4!
nothing mindblowing tho.

- fixed Gui some more: removed Dir and heading in Gui etc etc.
- fixed TTL & BFT. now shows correct for ammo type.
- fixed weapon selection. correct weapon is selected after tv mode
- added Compass in Gui -- NEEDS MORE WORK
- added liftbar to vtol|hws "vertical takeoff or landing + harrier watersystem"
- minor hud changes to av8b-tvgb "like it or have it "
- airlock on ammo.

All changes after beta release and other info. read the readme file!

This addon has become a verry deadly weapon as you no longer need a laserdesignator on vehicles.

Tips & Tricks for Heli users:.
fly low and find a target. lock on. then position yourself infront of a hill.. so the target can not shoot you. turn on TVS in the action menu. FIRE. pitch the missile up and fly above the hill. then pitch down and let the missile fly it's path. it is something simelar to the Spike system.

you might need a couple of rounds before you get the hang of it.

if you use an "FX" Effect addon. you might start to think there is a bug.

if you self-destruct the bomb in mid air and you are running an effect addon, the effect is seen on the ground. this is NOT a bug in this addon, but in the effect addon you are running.
it might not be a bug. but the way its coded.

i would like some help on getting the compass working properly. any helping hand is welcome.

Enjoy

*err*
What to say exactly?
It only works on those special vehicles, then it only works in 4:3.
I'm 16:10 user.

yeah it only works for 4:3 now..
i had support for all aspects in a earlyr version.. but i felt it was to much code to maintain.
im working on a proper function for the aspects. once i get it working.. all aspects will be supported again..

Currently I like to have it as an option for the current helicopter so I can use it as TVG for them.

Does anyone use aspect 5:4 or 12:3?

im updating my scripts a bit, but who uses 5:4 ?
i guess 12:3 is for tripple monitor setup

its a lot of work adjusting this dialogs for the diffrent aspects.
i can include 5:4 if people actualy use that aspect.

but i think i'll leave out 12:3

have currenly made a fuction for adjusting 4:3,16:9 and 16:10 with out having to mess with 3 diffrent dialog controls. as i had in one of my earlyer version
that was to mutch code to update when i changed some gui settings.

5:4 is the default LCDs, those before wide screen came out ;)
Height starts at approximately -0.0357139.

Good question.
That aspect ratio is not in the steam survey. But it looks more like they forgotten about that aspect ratio.
But for me: It is the common aspect ratio for 17" and 19" tfts. I have one aside me.
