Thanks in advance

Make sure you unpack the file if it is a zip or rar file first before plonking it in addons.
Select the unpacked pbo press Ctr-C.
Go to your addons folder press Ctr-V
That should solve that problem.

I've got that sorted now. But another problem do i copy the entire folder into the addon section and just the thing with the internet symbol ???
-
Copy any .pbo files into the addons folder ;)
The thing with the internet symbol would be a html readme I think, so you don't need to extract that anywhere unless you want to keep it for future reference.

I'll start from the beginning.....I went into my operation flashpoint directory to see if the update had put in a ADDON folder. It had so i double clicked on it and it already had ADDON's in the game.
Files already on CD: And then it had a list of the addons already in game. They Symbol was a blank page with the internet symbol next to it. So i downloaded some files and put them in my personal folder and extracted them. When i opened up the stuff i downloaded i selected the thing which looked like what i had seen in the ADDON folder and copy 'n' pasted it there.
Now, Above Files already on CD it now says: Files ready to be written to CD.
What have i done wrong ?

OK, i'm not too sure whats going on there, but it sounds like your putting the addons onto the CD, instead of the hardrive.
Make sure you've done the following:
1. Get Winrar/Winzip (incase you already havn't)
2. When downloading, save to somewhere easy like the desktop (you can delete/move the rars/zips later.)
3. Open your zip file. Inside should be some .pbo files, and sometimes a readme etc.
4. Open your OFP addons directory. This should be something like 'C:/Program Files/Codemasters/OperationFlashpoint/Addons.' There will already be some /pbo files in here.
5. Click and drag the .pbo files from that zip file into this folder.
6. That should work.
Is there a particular addon your having trouble with, is it with all addons?
-
All of them. Also what is .pbo ?
-
.pbo is the addon file format. In your rar file, you would have a file like 'CoC_torpedoes.pbo', if you had just downloaded Chain of Commands torpedo pack, for example.
So have the .pbo files in your addon folder, what happens when you start OFP?

I took your advice and it says something about the dragonuv

I deleted all the ones i put in. And now it works fine so it might of been a weapon pack. I'll try with some different addons ;D
