what's going on with ofpec. there is no new news, no newly reviewed missions. Is the staff on a colective vacation?

actualy i think its all da EC fault :o ;D
after we succesfuly got 2 of our men 2 b double agents in OFPEC now we got em all high (not dat dey werent b4 but now :wow: ::)) so we r all waitin til da effects disapear (not realy likely 2 happen)

Thx for the concern. :)
As you can see below, our output levels are not slow by any means but are in fact keeping up with whats submitted to us.

Pending news items: 1 (only submitted today)
All other news is posted & up to date
- Missions Depot...
Currently Pending SP: 24 (inclusive of those currently being reviewed)
Currently Pending Campaigns: 2 (inclusive of those currently being reviewed)
Last review: 30 Aug, with more on the way
- Addons Depot...
Reviewed in Sep: 7 so far
Currently Pending: 10 (inclusive of those currently being reviewed)
This is not biting your head off, but rest assured none of us are "sitting on our laurels", so to speak. :)
There is a lot of work going on in the background and we are very nicely keeping up with what is submitted to us.
What it boils down to is that if submissions are slow, so is the site.
If submissions are high, then our site output is matched accordingly.

Seriously - Running this site is at least a part-time job, and most of us allready have real full-time jobs.

Is Anmac on vacation or something? I've sent him a IM for the 3rd time I think about wanting to be a mission reviewer. He once replied and told me the 18+ rule but it's deleted now so I replied him that and he hasn't answered. Some time ago he sent me an IM about a thread and I nailed the chance when I thanked him to asked what happend to my mission review career. He never replied. I haven't seen him on the forums since. He's on long-vacation? I'm gonna IM him one more time but I don't think he'll reply this time either.

The 18+ rule is depot sensitive.

The various depot admins have full discretion as to who they want to hire. Have you applied thorugh the recruitment interface (http://www.ofpec.com/recruit.php) at OFPEC?

No, I IMed him a test review and he said it was good but then he talked about the 18+ rule. I'll check the recruitment interface tomorrow.

The main issue with OFPEC, and something that will unfortunately, always continue to be the biggest problem, is the time required, the manpower required, and bluntly, the sheer effort and often willpower required, to carry out the work needed.
Many people on the site devote hundreds of hours every month to ensuring the work is ready on time. Unfortunately, this is not always the case.
Whilst I agree that the idealistic situation would be to have for example, paid staff, with focussed jobs, unless someone were to sponsor OFPEC, that would never happen.
Sponsorship is also something OFPEC has never wanted to look at, as that would inevitable involve Banners and other such nonsense.
All they can do is take on more Staff and hope that the jobs are given to ablebodied people.
Speaking of which, can I have my title, and my position, of sorts, back now please Noon? If you need a hand, that is..
