basically, a squad of greenie black ops people are driven to a location to begin urban training, having got there they find out it has been captured and have to take it back.
this is the first in a campaign in which all the mission will be for the most part CQB and this first mission is aimed at using the buildings structure, (or holes in said structure) to get a high level of accuracy and range while also a high degree of solid cover
-
Doing CQB in ofp doesn't work well as the engine wasn't really desinged for it. You may have some difficulty trying to do this mission, but good luck.
-
CQB?
-
"Close Quarter Battle"
-
hehe yeah it is hard to do and play but.......after playing this......it will make players appreciate long range combat :D lol
i found a map thats almost perfect for more missions i got it from atwar an its called Vitcity
a question now
Do you like operation Flashpoint
Do you like big, death dealing mechs
if the answer is YES get on down to www.mechmodels.com
you may rember a game a while back called heavy gear, well now you can play some of these mechs in ofp
-
Is it just me who call it CQC? Close Quater Combat.
And I like OFP.
I like Mechs.
But I don't think I would like Mechs in OFP. ;)
-
youd be surprised how fun it is lol, these mech tho, they dont walk which i thin is a shame......but they to havve tracks on the bottom of there feet they are really cool to watch too, and on the in vehicle view, his has a led type info about vehicle status etc
oh about CQB it is the actual name what SWAT and a lot of other military forces call it
-
Sorry but that sounds s**t. :)
-
i dont think the buildings in this game currently offer good urban house to house fighting
the tall ones only have a few rooms available so it is kind of obvious where the person is once you narrow the area down
i like fighting in the towns though
-
Play Resistance and look for that city in the intro...(if my memorie is well).
also you can "fake" a big city by making missions in different citys while the story tells it is one big city :)
-
well a lot of the parts in nogova suit the idea well just trying oit see how the ai handles cqb, and im seemiong to be trying out a lot of philcommando's stuff too :D
-
Another problem is having a lot going on in one big city can cause lag on certain systems.
-
well im working ona way to have, not a lot fo units, but it not being too easy, i.e ambush points hehe i tried one once, 4 enemy soldiers, 9 allies, the allies got slaughtered lol so i just have to fine tune it
-
Nice, let me see it when your done.
-
lol im making a campaign out fo it, not fully completed any missions, just testing out the ai in various cities
-
Oh, alright. I had an addon that came with a flashbang, it was some sort or Delta addon if I remember correctly. If I can find it, it would add a little something to the CQB arena.
-
was it LT1SealTeam by any chance, ive got that

Mission one
Are you Tough Enough
you have just finished your training, you proved to be an exception studen, you have been hand picked to join a revoloutionary Urban fighting force, your only rule is to be brutal to the enemy, your first mission is a training one, sounds simple enough, if you can pass
Mission two
Operation Meteor
the town of frymburk has been captured by unknown forces using russian equipment, the local police have tried to fend them off but have been wiped out, your squad, Codenamed S.T.R.I.K.E are being inserted by Blackhawk to eliminate these unknown agressors, with a squad of 12, and against unknown forces, this is going to be a tough one
these are 2 missions so far, going to add more bu tneed to think abut them
