Title: Road Lengths
Post by: jeffs on 29 Apr 2003, 00:07:45
I've scoured the forumn, maybe I'm blind but i din't see it.  Is there a place out there that lists the road segment lengths (especially for O.pbo roads?) thanks

Yes,

Go to the Editor Depot and click References... go to page 2 and you will see 9 files like this 0-PBO***. One will have roads and this should help you out m8 ;D

The O-PBORoad(66).zip file only lists the road names and a picture showing the road piece.

But a clue to the road lengths are in the file names.

For example:

asf25.p3d.....is 25 metres long
asf12.p3d.....is 12.5 metres long
asf6.p3d.......is 6.25 metres long

The curved road pieces however are not as easy.

asf10 75.p3d for example means the road turns through 10 degrees and has a curved length of 75 metres......maybe.

Hope this helps.

I'm sure that Cupid Moon would have to know the EXACT lengths for his road tool  ;D

hey Planck......
just wonderin' cuz I alwys wondered myself
With those curved road pieces.....if the number actually had something to do with the turn RADIUS?
i like your interpretation as well tho

Yes zippy that is possible.

It was just a guess on my part, but the 10 part is the angle the piece turns through.
