Alright, check out the ground textures, and please be blunt.
I like them, cept I think I need to have them darkened and a tad of brown added. What do y'all think?

I darkened it up and it looks stunning in the game. Does anyone have any good forest ground textures that give off impression of leaves fallen on ground? My texture artist isn't sure he can handle that but is giving it a try. I'd like to have a few options to choose from though.

the brown is ok not perfect but the green aawwwww looks ugly I suggest you use the orginal one or remake it ;)
-
I remade it, what ya think now?

That looks much better ;)
The one before looked a little cartoon.
Do you have a far of picture from the air ???
-
I know this might sound a bit obvious, but what you place on the texture will make a big difference. By this I mean, you say that these textures are for forests, to give the impression of leaves fallen on the ground, etc.
Take a couple of pics of the texture under a forest....that's where you are going to use it afterall?? It doesn't look right just being in the middle of a field....where would all the leaves come from. It's not just what the texture looks like, but the context of where it is. Make sense? :-\ :)

I can't access the pics.

For the pics, copy and paste into browser.
Yes, I was planning to use a texture with fallen leaves, twigs, etc. for forests. I got it already on computer. I also got a pavement/gravel type texture for the city.

seen pic from above m8 to be honnest it doesn't look that cool if you ask me use the official textures m8 ;)
-
I'm starting to agree.
One thing.. is there a way to change a texture path back to original? I aint doing select all as I got a shitload of fields out there and stuff.
-
Not that I know of...maybe hexediting? But I really don't know. There's no REPLACE function for textures :'(
-
Hey man... Have you got another pic from Arnhem? Not from the church. I wanna see some kinda street or sumthing. Is that OK? Thanks.
And yeah, looks quite cool actually, work on the grass though. Remove those white areas.

Very nice but, look, I havenÂ't been in Arnhem myself but it looks very compact and neat. Try to make it look a bit more nature. You see what I mean? ;)
-
Being a flat country made of sand and clay, natural stone is in short supply. Most buildings in the Netherlands are made of red bricks, even the churches.
Look at the buildings in Arnhem on this link (click on "Places of interest") http://www.holland.nl/go/arnhem/uk/

This isn't our actual Holland map, but just a 'generic' to hold everyone over till the real, completely custom map can be finished. It's massive and shouldn't have a single original building in it.
