hiya guyz i jus thought i wud tell ya that my pack is out soon with permission forom the owners of the old gulf war mod that was out way back i have put their textures on most of the bis units so now ucan have a big desert war the pack contains many rair vehicles such as desert m60 desert m2a2 iraq bmp iraq bmp2 iraq republican guard etc wud u guys download it ? ??? i need someone 2 host pics cso my iamges are above 50k

And the question was would we download it..Id say so..as long as they are of good quality..I hate d/l addons that arent finished..full of bugs..eg..afghan pack..(not CATSHITS)..great idea..but a few big probs..Now if we could get all the units needed for CATS island then all will be well :)

Why so hostile guys?
Let him show the stuff first before moaning around about
good/average/bad quality addons.
That's really not the approach, which is giving addon-makers
the motivation to do something for the comunity.
And even if they are bad (what i don't hope), then you don't
need to download them.
Anyway, i think from reading your first post Cobra, they might
look good, as you were using textures of the GulfWarMod.
Lookin forward for 'em ;)

Point taken..changing the subject now.. i was wondering if with the current world situation in Iraq..if there definately was going to be Iraq soldiers released....To my knowledge there hasnt been an iraq soldier download ever other than crew..MAAC and MARFY were working on some great looking soldiers but nothing eventuated..I am looking forward to this addon almost as much as CATs island...Good Luck

BTW i have over 30 meg of uncompleted Jordanian,Syrian,Israeli and palestine units that have a few texture probs and config probs..(soldier without weapons)..i got them from Noone who worked with the Lost Brothers Mod..permission is given to get these up to scratch however im an island and mission maker and dont have the skills to do it..maybe you'd be interested after this pack is done Cobra..(or anyone else)

If you are going to be dipicting the Gulf War i got a couple of suggestions
instead of dipicting specific countries try and dipict specific units like 25th Mechinized Division.

Or perhaps even the 3rd Infantry Divison (Mechanized) and the 173rd Airborne Brigade.
That is if you want the ones that are active in Iraq at the moment.

Have you sent it to any of the big sites? Such as ofp.info or ofp.at. There are also a couple guys around here that could.

If you are going to make desert infantry, use the Taiwan Workshop MG's and make a new Iraqi AK-47. A lot of them have wooden foregrips. BTW, Sigma-6 is making some new M1's, he said he will have desert versions too.

ok no they have not modeled the extra armor, are you blind, that was the only way the US and British had their M60 tanks with extra armor. so hey they have not modeled that one up there, you see the extra armor.
The M60 was used for the Marines. They were with LAVs and 19 M1A1's the Army gave them.
The M551 Sheridan was a recon tank used for the 82nd airborne against the logistics base "As Salman".
Don't test me on this subject

OK, I will not test you, I am not school teacher. I wasnt knocking your knowledge on sheridans or M60s. Itd be funny if somebody made an M60a2 because werent they a complete failure because of the complexity (earning the nickname "Starship"). LAVs would be fully sick for OFP.
BTW cobra you didnt make them did you? you are releasing a pack for people who dont want to scour the ofpweb 4 individual addons

if u read the top of the page it says that i had textures from the old op desert sheild desert strom mod i asked quaker on the opgwc fourms a while ago and he gave the green light in had already configs new classnames etc so i decided 2pbo the addons if u scour the interent you can not download a desert m-60 seperatly

Er British M60's? Why on earth would we use M60's?

While the American's were using the M60 Pattons the british were using the Centurion Tanks then as the latter part of the 60ies the Cheiftan MBT the British Army may have had one or 2 m60s at one stage in their inventory for trials when replacing their Centurions but I believe at no stage did the M60 serve as a front line tank in the british army
