Title: making a plane stay at a height

ok this is REALLY pissing me off now,

trying to get a plane to stay at a certain height
 >:(
ok well the things i have tried,

flyinheight in init box = dont work
flyinheight in waypoint = dont work
set pos thing in init box = starts off at height, flys back to normail height, GRRRRR
set pos thing AND flyinheight in waypoint = DONT ****ING WORK

ahem
ok please someone know how to work this thing

i think there is a bug with planes, because they have just been coded as aircraft, BIS couldnt really go into complex dynamics for planes and helicopters. In practical terms, this means it makes planes a lot harder to use, so you can only have the preset waypoints... if you notice a helicopter when you use flyinheight, it doesnt get gradually to the height.. it gets some of its height on the way, and then rizes while hovering...

planes just aint very lucky on OFP....

Yeah.. you just have to live with it basically.. this flyinheight only works for choppers and planes are notoriously bad with waypoints in the first place... :noo:

I think the AI just flys at whatever it determines a safe height to be ???   There is probably something in the config.cpp I would imagine that sets a default fly in height?  (this is just speculation of course)
