A way to get around this problem if you want to test from the editor is to load up a single mission in cadet mode then immediately quit and go back into the editor.  For some reason, all the yellow WP markers, etc will now be shown!  Don't ask me why.....

AEEE, I know why, if any of you also have this problem, where you open up OFP and go straight into the editor, and notice that you can't do 3rd person perspectiveuntil you play a pbo mission, how wierd is that, but yeah it shows up now

EDIT: LOL! mike, same thing aye, lol  ;)

ANSWER: Change your veteran option: allow 3rd person Perspective and show waypoint ENABLED
