Would this even be possible. I know a couple left handed shooters (Me included). It would just add a mere sense of more realism. So just wonderin if it would be possible.

Yeah.... it would be possible I imagine..... might need a different animation though.....
I happen to shoot left handed myself.. ;)
Kaliyuga ;D

Many large military organisations teach everyone to fire with the right hand, as you don't get red hot brass flying past your nose that way. My mate's brother's a lefty squaddie, but he fires right-handed as that's how he was trained.
Besides, i think this kind of addon would be a waste of time, what with making the new anims etc, and it'd never really get popular so you couldn't make missions with it and expect people to get it... anyway, left-handed people aparently live on average 9 years less than right-handed people (maybe ambidextrous people just split the difference ???), so I wouldn't bother wasting the valuable time if I was left-handed ;)

...figures, coming from a righty ;) Maybe a better idea would be to carry 2 handguns? Ok, not very militaristic, but still cool. Another idea would be to throw grenades with the left hand and still use your gun, but, then again just an idea. And about the training...Left handed shooters are not an uncommom thing in the army. There actually has been a modification to the M16 to make it safe to use by lefties and righties alike. If you have Adobe Acrobat Reader, check this out.

And true, statistically left handed people die younger, but it is also said that we lefties have better aim. ;D
