Title: camer shot
Post by: Ryu on 06 Feb 2003, 16:12:36
Any idea how to simulate a camera shot?
I want the mission to end if the recon team get a picture of the enemy base.

Thanks

Do you actually want to see the picture?
Otherwise I would use an addaction, that starts a script that takes the distance and direction player - target and compares it to the players actual direction, maybe allow some 5 degrees off angle and sets the obbjective to "true" once the comparison turns out positive.
Might take some experimenting, but itÂ's definetly doable.

camera shot? as like in a camera or like a video cutscene? if u just want a picture there is a resource for that that u can use in the advanced triggers thing i BELIEVE not sure though but there are some fun borders in that.

I don't actually need the picture. Maybe just a cut sceen with camera sounds and a quick fade to black might do it and the trigger will say mission accomplished.
I will look into your suggestions tho

Thanks
