Check Editor's Depot and there open Sound, Music & Radio tutorial's and open Popurhedoff's Wave2Lip Tutorial #1. There you have Wave2Lip and good tutorial to get some work done...

Post by: PJK on 24 Jan 2003, 13:32:50: Well, did you put Wave2Lip.exe in your desktop? If not, then try it. I have Wave2Lip.exe in my desktop and it works. At first mine didn't work either when it was in folder etc. So only exe in desktop and then try to drag some soundfile on it. It should create "lip"file to your desktop.

Write if this not work...

Post by: PJK on 24 Jan 2003, 15:00:07: Try so simple thing as extract exe again. So destroy older one and extract Wav2Lip again to your desktop. When mine didn't work, I just installed it again. If it still don't want to work, try to instal WaveToLip everywhere. Try different folders etc. It may need full path to somewhere...

Are you sure you have WaveToLip in desktop as exe. If it is in folder which is in desktop it may not work...

As I say, just to make sure. I can't figure anything else. If that still don't work, send me your soundfiles and I use my WaveToLip and send newly born Lipfile to you...

Be sure, that file you are converting is also in desktop. So you have WaveToLip program and soundfile copied in to your desktop. Then drag file to program and it generates lipfile to desktop...

Just put WaveToLip.exe to your C:\ folder.
Just C: Not in any other folders.
Then it should work.

On some winXp systems wav2lip only works when it is placed in the "TEMP" directory:

C:\Temp

This should help some of you guys out.

Post by: Zahael on 07 Feb 2003, 13:31:20: Hey everyone, that is a common problem that I myself was stumped with until someone helped me out.

The problem is that wav2 lip doesn't work if the directory structure has any spaces in it.

For instance, c:\desktop\wave 2 lip \ will mean that wav2 lip will, frustratingly, not work.

However, c:\wav2lip or some variant of, should yeild positive results. Remember, no spaces.

I just kept unzipping it to different places. It worked in the end. As was mentioned before the file has to be in mono! And 16 bit etc etc.
