Title: F/A-18C Hornet beta ready.
Post by: Hudson on 08 Jan 2003, 05:11:40: I have been working on a F18 hornet and have it ready for community beta testing. It is being released as version 0.9 beta. The final version will be completed after I get some feedback from the community and finish the sukhoi (http://home1.gte.net/res0xkun/pics/sukhoi/sukhoi1a.jpg) addon Im working on (temp texture slapped on it). Because I animated the cockpit canopy, landing gear and gear bay doors, and AA missle warning with event handlers this addon only works with resistance versions 1.90 and above, sorry. The download is 9.8 Mb and adds 15 Hornets, 5 different loadouts in 3 color schemes.

The model used is a downloaded .max model imported into O2, I did not make it and do NOT in anyway take credit for its creation. Please enjoy :)

Anyway good work even though you didn't make the original model at least you put the effort in to get it in OFP

Post by: STO_blackbird on 10 Jan 2003, 03:00:41: dont know if this is the right thread or not but the only problem i have found as a public beta model is that the muzzle flash on the M61A1 cannon is very large, blocky, and causes considerable lag when firing more than a 15rnd burst. in the cockpit view it looks great. any thoughts

Post by: registered_fugitiv on 10 Jan 2003, 23:37:55: yea nice planes dude the only thing i have noticed is wat blackbird said the muzzle flash it comes out white but i didnt have any lag with it and i think the canopy should come down a bit sooner during take off but apart from that u got sum real nice planes
