Title: Identify addon
Post by: Coyote @ rage on 05 Jan 2003, 03:38:04
I made a multiplayer map with unofficial addons.
Althoough I am pretty sure that I uploaded all the addons I used onto the server, i get an error message, when I start the mission:
"Cannot load mission. Missing addon bis_resistance"

That doesnot sound like sth. unofficial.
Has anyone ever encountered that addon?
Or can anyone tell me how I find out what addon uses that entry into the config?

Open the mission.sqm from the map folder manually in notepad or any other text editor and add "bis_resistance" to the list of addons.

I've had problems with OFP not automatically adding bis_resistance and bis_weaponpack to the addons sections ever since 1.85.  Anyone else?

That didnÂ't do it, now it goes right back to mission selection.

If you have a lot of addons installed in your ofp and ofp/resistance addons folder, this can sometimes throw up error messages like this.

If this is the case you have two choices
1) Install an addon manager
2) Remove the cluster fuck of addons that you dont use

If that fails, backup all your addons, user folder etc and reinstall OFP, then copy your user folder and maps back into their approporiate directories
