Hi peeps with all theis BrItish stuff being made I decided to start on Gazzelle with the help of VAde 101. I am now moving onto textures and it should be done.....

BtW I forgot to mention somat sorry.. The main bits of the Chasis is done by Eviscarator.. sorry Evis please dont sue me..... :-[

(the whole model was done by eviscerator all i did was add the cargo proxies and as such don't deserve any credit at all)

It's a good job. Perhaps when you are done you may think about reskinning the in game CH-47 with the dark green RAF colours :D

Also, if choppers are your bag, you could consider doing a Merlin or Lynx.

What I wanna see is a reskin hob of G8's Italian Tornado to RAF colours, that would be very nice :D

Oooooo that looks SO good.....but are you good at textures? All too often we see an amzing model let down by textures!

@Britboy....there already is a reskinned RAF Chinook...check out the addons depot.

That particular RAF chinook is ok but the textures disappear at about 60mtrs range, showing the originals :'(

Not till the weekend unfortunately, MSM is blocked by the firewall in work :(
Which reminds me I need to set up MSM on my machine after I reinstalled XP, which will no doubt mean updates to d/l, which on a 56k could take a while, so if I seem to be ignoring you when I log in that'll be why.

thats weird - XP comes with net passport and msn - just enter your email addy into it - it sets it all up auto for u

Yeah it comes with it but since I my copy of XP qwas released there have been a few updates made to MSM - I had to download some updates the last time I reinstalled, took about 20 mins  :( I wouldn't mind so much if I could use MSM while it was downloading but it logs me in but then just shows a nice progress bar whilst in the background I can hear messages arriving but can't view them until it's finnished  >:(

Poor LiltMon. On a 56k, it seems quicker to run to the bank, draw out some money, run to PC world, buy some blank CDs, run to the nearest airport and hijack a knackered old Cessna and fly it to Microsoft HQ and get the updates on CD, then get in the knackered old plane, crash halfway across the Atlantic and swim home.  >:(

The Operation frenchpoint mod has now a working gazelle and puma.

A RAF puma, merlin and Chinook green colour scheme would be nice to see.

Also I hope you do a green colour scheme for the gazelle.

I'd much rather see the common green on grey, but then again any British Gazelle would be nice. I've seen the Frenchpoint helis, quite nice.

I'ms not sure how commone the green on grey camo scheme is. When I went to RAF Odiham I saw not one chinook in that scheme, and when I went to a TA Army Air Corps station all the gazelles were pure green too.

heh, the britsh aircraft paint schemes are by no means standard...

The most common paint scheme for aircraft (jets and the sort) are either:

All over ADV Grey, or

ADV Grey and Olive Drab (a greeny colour) mix...

For Helicopters it is either:

All over Olive Drab (as seen on all the Chinooks), or

ADV Grey and Olive drab mix...

And mixed in amongst these are special schemes for celibrations, and then theatre special schemes, such as a fetching all over pink, or ADV Grey/Pink mix... lovely  :P

The reason you won't have seen any ADV/Olive Chinooks, is because there aren't any... simple as that...

What you would normall see is navy choppers are 9/10 painted grey, apart from the ones allocated to the RM's, as in seakings for norway will have black and white tiger stipes, the army gazelles are more than likely to be a green and grey stripe scheme the chinooks are normaly always black/dark green

Hey peeps I am sorry I cant show any at the moment me internet at home has really fooked up.. but as soon as that is sorted I'll put em up i have started to add the internal textures.

btw I can only go on the internet at work at the moment so all RSF guys (kooky, deadmeat and the rest) ill speak to you on MSn and kooky i'll be writing you an email in a bit... its really cool. ;D ;)
