this is probally a daft question but im interested in creating some cars and buildings for opf
but im a total novice i would like it if i could use existing files as a learning exercise
the only problem is at the moment i cant find anything to convert p3d to 3ds
i have 3ds max 5
and any help would be helpfull
ps:
o2 light looks like you can save 3ds files is this possible or am i barking up the wrong tree

best way is to go to "send" in the o2 menu
and send the p3d as an .asc file.(you gotta type in the .asc at the end as well.
then use another program,to convert the .asc into .3ds...
milkshape can do it,theres others out there too,
i use a lovely free model editor, and level designer from 3d game studio.
max 5 might be able to read and load .asc, but max 3.1 doesnt,
cause i got max3.
but i had same problem saving to 3ds,
sending as .asc and converting outside o2 works for me.

I use the old P3dtoObj program to turn it into obj's then import one into max r3 and then export it to 3ds...
