Title: Automated security guns

Has anyone ever thought of making these automated security guns, the U.S millitary are working on something like this, its a completely automated weapon looks similer to a machine gun mounted on a stand, only smaller, would be cool.

  It's funny.. with the old gunslingers addon ( the one with the empty bombs and missiles) there was an empty M-16 that you could tell an AI guy to "get in"  as gunner and you'd have an AI controlled, floating machine gun...   It only fired forward.. but it was pretty cool for just the thing you're talking about.. ;)  

 I guess making an automated gun is possible , and it might add some cool touches to some missions

Ive got those addons, thing is when you press fire the whole thing blows up! And anyway the guns dont look like an m16 at all! as well as the alien films there is a modern day example of the kind of thing im talking about, I cant for the life of me remember what the film was called but it was about A bunch of pscopathic mutant monkeys who protect a load of diamonds! if anyone knows the name of the film please repy as its now driving me nuts! ??? oh yeah it also had a guriller who could talk with a little gismo on its arm!

The name of the movie was "Congo". Automated gun would be cool. i wouldnt use it in a real mission but i would mess around with it however.
