First of all, i have read Planck's DEM-Wrpedit tutorials, but I am currently stuck at the .dem phase.
I have downloaded the Microdem program, but the microdem did not make too much sense to me. In the tutorial no info was given on how to use Microdem (in relevance to OFP). That program mostly gave me errors, headache and no explanation on how to use it.
So my three questions are:
1) What does Microdem have to do with creating islands in Wrpedit?
2) Is there a way to create the islands that does not include Microdem?
3) Is there any tutorial whatsoever that is related to using Microdem when creating OFP islands?
Thanks for your responses :good:,

Microdem is a pretty heavy program to learn, but, it was the best option at the time.
I used it to convert from USGS dems to Microdem native format and also to XYZ format for import into WrpEdit.
If you can get your terrain detail into XYZ format you can load that into WrpEdit, provided the terrain is only 256 X 256 in size (default OFP).
Of course WrpEdit will also load OPRW format binarized .wrp files, but not 4WVR (WrpTool used this format), so you can even load any of the original .wrp files from OFP into WrpEdit and edit them if you so wish.
