Title: GOTY 1.96 mod?

Hi there,
I am new here...playing OFP for 5 years now, awesome game.

I got GOTY edition but weapon sounds and weapon choose is the same like in older versions.
I don't want to take weapon from ammo crates, I would like that soldiers already have new type guns...Is this possible to do?
also weapon sounds are too old...is there any good upgrade for this?

As for changing out the guns, dont remember any simply Mods for that, only large Mods that change soldiers and guns.

It depends what you mean by 'new'.

I'd recommend you download INQ-Mod and High Detail Weapons (paa textures) - total 22Mb - from Inquisitor's page (http://ofp.gamepark.cz/_hosted/inquisitor/). (And maybe also the G36).

Install all that in a Mod folder (here's a how-to (http://www.ofpec.com/ed_depot/index.php?action=details&id=340&game=OFP) if you do not know how to do this).

This replaces the weapons in the game with better-looking models (except the PK and SVD Dragunov (and handguns)) and has very good sounds also.
