G'day

You can use Texview which can be found here in the Editor's Depot under TOOLS....GRAPHICS TOOLS
to convert to .TGA and then edit with the paint prog of your choice.

well that works fine for regular textures.. but what im trying to edit is a sight.... it has some black then some grey and the grey part you can see through but when i save it as a tga it comes in all black... how do i preserve that see thru area... or where can i get that texture to start a sight from scratch??

Take that "all black" tga file and look at the alpha channel, that's what you'll want to mess with. :)
