Title: do all addons have to be beta tested.. and what is beta testing anyway??

please can someone answer these basic questions... im new to all this and about finished with my first addon... an m11 cobray.. thanks....John

mate - all addons DON'T HAVE to be beta tested - beta testing is where you give your addon to a few people, who then find all the bugs in it, so that when you officially release the addon you have found and eliminated all the bugs!

To put it simply:

A properly tested addon, tested by a few different people = a good addon

A not tested addon = a bad addon, as there will be bugs, and then version conflicts as you improve the addon to get rid of the bugs...
