Title: Kegetys cpbo extractor help
Post by: AirCav on 12 Jun 2008, 02:34:12
Not sure if this is the right place for this, but...

I've downloaded several missions that come as a single pbo file.  i've tried to extract them using kegetys tools, but they don't seem to work.  When I load up cpdo v2.03 I get a window asking "Do you wish to associate cpbo with PBO files and directories (Explorer right click menu)?  I clicked yes and got:

c:\Users\Matt\Desktop\ArmA Tools\cpbo.exe
PBO association failed!Directory association failed!Done.

Then it closes.  I haven't been able to use it to extract any mission files.  Am I doing something wrong?

Hmmm, I've never tried that tool, I use Eliteness.

Works wonderfully well, why not give it a bash.

Grab it here (http://www.ofpec.com/ed_depot/index.php?action=details&id=383&page=0&cat=xyz).

I'd guess you need to be logged in as an administrator on Vista to make those file associations. Using a GUI-based extractor like Eliteness or PBOView might be easier for you though.

The wondeful thing about this tool is that it integrates itself into the Windows File Explorer's right-click context menu.

Indeed.
Even if Kegetys' stuff isn't always cleverly named nor needlessly flashy in any way he's little programs are always very well thought of.

Integrating into the windows shell (or what ever it is called) should be mandatory for all these programs..
