Post by: Ferret Fangs on 29 Oct 2002, 08:56:53: I've DL'ed and used 'em. I've got to say they are fantastic addons and really provide for some great mission ideas, and effects. I had to modify the armament of the West version, it's supposed to be a M-134 minigun type weapon, but was firing about 250 rnds per min. The Russian one packs a 20mm ( RKK? what? ) with HE shells, way too heavy for this little bird. Think I'll make it a 12.7mm instead, or maybe an AGS-17 or something.
Other than that, I loved using these things. Just group a couple of them with a SPECOPS team, and it's like instant Littlebird, in a tight little package but without all the totally overwhelming, gratuitous firepower.
They also make an excellent recon platform, as air defense platforms including BMP-2's, Shilkas, and even DKM's incredible Tunguska has a difficult time targeting them. If they do notice you in one, however, it's lights out with a quickness, because you've got no speed or armor, and will not survive long at all.

Post by: Marsuitor on 29 Oct 2002, 14:26:01: I found the AI having difficulties landing. When ordered to disembark, the men descended so fast they turned upside-down and crashed. Another thing was when equipping a team with these things, the lads had trouble following the leader and keeping formation when moving from A to B. They would all stay behind/move very slow and get lost.

Apart from this, i'm really liking this addon ;)
