Title: Geiger counter

Has anyone simulated a Gieger Counter with a script?  I could but a Tigger down saying it was a hot shipping create.  Any ideas or suggestions?

btw it is geiger.

This should be fairly easy. What you need to do is have several different geiger counter sounds.  You need a knowledge of description.ext, to include the sounds, and the addAction command to have an activate/deactivate geiger counter action menu. You then write a script that plays one of the sounds based on the distance between the player and the crate.

LCD used something very similar in his Guardian Angel mission. you are supposed to find a crate with a rifle in it and theres a detector that you use which beeps faster and faster as you get closer to it. i think its exactly what you need :)

what i used is da lojack tracker script toadlife wrote 4 his mision operation lojack... its easy 2 use... nd i even converted it 2 sqf :P but u will need 2 change couple of things b4 it works lioke u want it.... i may put up an example of dis lojack thingy :D

A geiger counter function/resource would be great, i was thinking of using one in my next mission!  Finding the sounds could be tricky, if anybody does please post i haven't had much luck...

dis is da lojack thingy... cud easily b converted 2 what u need... also da sounds included inside :P

I found this ofp script which is exactly what you are looking for. I don't know anything about dialogs, but I know the classnames have changed slightly with ArmA. Maybe someone with dialog savvy could update this for ArmA and submit it to the ED?
