Hi
I have a model that cars should be able to drive over like a sort of bridge. The model works and the car drives over. However the car drives over it as if its some sort of grass or dirt road. I am using the RoadWay LOD in O2.
The ground is a hard surface so I want a good speed and acceleration but cant. How do I achieve this in ArmA with the bridge?
Many thanks

What size is the roadway LOD, length, width ... in metres?
Planck

Its quite big. It's 20x20 meters approximately. However I have an idea for another model soon using a similar design.
Is there a limit on how big it can be ?

Yes, there is, but 20X20 should be fine.

Do you know what the limit is, as I have to extend the model a bit.
At the moment I have the whole model (including parts I don't need to be RoadWay LOD) in roadway LOD, so I wonder if I stop being lazy and sort the actual right parts out it might work better.
Thanks :)

I do believe the limit in OFP was 64 X 64, not at all sure if it changed any for ArmA, so it would be safe to stay within those limits I think.
I would tend to stick to 50 X 50 for most cases unless I needed slightly more.

64x64 is usually ok, if the object is placed North-South or East-West. My experience suggests if the object is placed at like 45deg the diagonal then probably breaches the engine limit, hence causing random breakdowns in geometry.
As Planck said, best use like 50x50

Thanks for the reply. I'm sorting out what needs to be in the right LOD's and what doesnt now, should hopefully help fix it.
Thanks for your help guys ;)
