Here's a couple ideas:
You could put an "fired" eventhandler on the shooter, where you removeAllMagazines. After first shot, his ammo is gone. Then add the ammo back a bit later when he no longer feels the "need" to shoot.
If this is for a cutscene, you can also use a "fired" eventhandler to setpos the targert to [0,0,0], and setpos a different identical unit to the target's place (to same position and direction)...a little sleight of hand. Hopefully, he would stop shooting when he can no longer see his original target.

Just wondering...
If he has a round in the weapon if you removed all the magazines before he fired???????????
or
_x dofire _weapon
@unitready _x
removeAllMagazines _x
that might work.
Sorry the American version is screwing that up for you. I wonder why?????

You could cheat with a fired eventhandler which follows the bullet with bulletcam in slow-mo and once the guy is out of sight setbehaviour him to careless.
I would have said what johnnyboy said with the removemagazine command but like you sid, your getting crashes. Odd, and annoying I can imagine.

It was working fine for LCD, except it kept crashing on my Atari version.....which is wierd.
My natural hatred of Crappy Protection! makes me wanna blame SecURom.

If you are experiencing problems with ArmA 1.08 + SecuROM. Maybe you could try:
http://www.securom.com/support/customers/morphicon/armed_assault_t091/arma.zip
It's a fix released by secuROM.

LCD, looks like you got i working. How M8?

I shoulda known better..lol..now it wants my DVD in the drive. Kinda tough when I have the Direct2Drive download version. :weeping:
No big problem though, I had a spare .exe stashed that I have been wanting to try....that gave me a good excuse.
Maybe I'll get rid of that plaugue aka SecURom for good. Tis a sad day when a guy who has bought ArmA TWICE, once from SoftWrap and again from Atari, has to resort to a hacked .exe to make his game work.
That's why i call it Crappy Protection!
Not your fault Cheetah...I should have RTFM. It may just be a blessing in disguise. But..........
If I start turning into a purple seagull who can't shoot at all..you'll be the first to know. ;)
