Title: losing gear in the water

can you stop infantry from losing there gear in the water?

Apart from saving whatever gear they have before they go out to swim and put it back on later, I'm afraid not.

Here is a mission that allows you to get back the weapons/ammo you lost in the water.  :good:

ahhh but its a great piece of realism in the game that you do have to dump your gear!!!   :D

I prefer options....
                              realism is great - but having control about when to impliment it  - that's what i'd prefer!  :yes:

Realism is either having a warning about losing the gear, or at least notifying you that you will lose the gear in X amount of seconds. Or giving you a 30 second choice of drowning or dropping your gear.  Newbies don't even know where that their gear is gone or why? I was a newbie once.
