We're looking for anyone who can put together a scene in-game and take a snapshot of it to submit an image to go up as OFPEC's banner for the next month...
The theme is action! We want an exciting battle scene, set up in either OFP or ArmA, which shows what the game in question can look like at its furious best. Images can be up to 1024 x 768 pixels in size, but be aware the image will need to be cropped to 950 x 150 pixels to fit in the banner space.
Got a favourite beach-head to attack? Know of a good ambush point? Well, set up a battle scene and get snapping!
Submit your entries here. Simply attach images to your post, and we'll do the rest.

I'll start.
Classic OFP.

Mine doesn't even have te right size but I don't care. I mean no disrespect though. I just felt like blowing tings up and being part of this!
Cheers.
Jason
EDIT 1:
I think the one from karantan is very well done.
EDIT 2:
I don't know if we are aloud to upload more than one banner per person but I try my luck. If it isn't aloud, let me know. I'll remove one.

well, since the move our banner proportions have become a little more generous - 950 x 150 to be precise. competition is still open though ;)
-
Captain Crunch, yes you are allowed to upload more than one. As many as you like in fact. What we want is an infinite supply of banners, since we want a new one every month or so.
-
OK. This is my new version:

Some more simplistic action :)

Here are my tries:
First to pics are the same (one with addiitional effects)
I thought action shots don't need to contain various big explosions. IMO a picture can also be called an action shot if there is much movement in it.
The soldier on the left just took out the T72, the SLA dude on the right is throwing a nade to the US position and the right US grunt hurry's to cover in order to be safe from the SLA nade

but um... :-[ the slogan is actually "by the community, for the community"...
-
Yeah I remembered when I woke up this morning I did that at 4am, hehe.
EDIT: Wow I saved the PSD, here's the right slogan.

If needed I can upload bigger versions.

Dobermann, this is not a combat photography thread ;)
The idea is to make banners..
-
I just followed the 1st post in this thread that says:
The theme is action! We want an exciting battle scene, set up in either OFP or ArmA, which shows what the game in question can look like at its furious best. Images can be up to 1024 x 768 pixels in size, but be aware the image will need to be cropped to 950 x 150 pixels to fit in the banner space.
It doesn´t say that the banner has to be done, it asks for images to make a banner of.
-
Ach, I stand corrected..
Maybe I need new glasses or something :D

Hope you like it ;)

I guess this is the most right forum to give stuff. I made this today - it's a banner for your site.
I can't say it's the best or it's awesome, but it's decent enough in my opinion. What do you guys think of it?
I'm a bit of an average at Photoshop so yeah... :D
It doesn't have to be the main header for the site at all as well - I have no probs. ;)
Chris :)

bedges, you know on the front page how there are those small banners on the middle-left? I made two for this site (they're in .png though - feel free to convert them to .jpg):
MISSIONS DEPOT:

Well done Chris, might be nice to have a few others for ArmA.
-
Hello, all.
No entries here for quite a while... :( But I thought I'd make a new one anyway. I based this banner on my Armedassault.Info Real Combat Photography contest entry. I also added a version without the AT guy behind the text, in case if it looks better...
