Title: Question about getting units from point A to point B

Basically I have a civilian AI commanded to enter a truck then take a very long multi waypoint route to a town, the problem is he pauses/slows down when he reaches each waypoint. In some cases he even reverses slightly before going forward again, my question is if there is an easy way to smooth out the ride? ie he flows from each waypoint to the next without any pause. (please note he is on a road and not offroad)

try cutting down on the number of waypoints used .. give him one direct to location .. and set his behaviour to safe / careless he should follow roads direct to location
