Title: Help! Been a long time and can't decompile my old mission!
Post by: Wabbit on 03 Oct 2006, 03:51:39
Hello!
The only post that still shows up for me is back from 2002 when I was trying to get my masterpiece mission published.

Well, I've been gone a while, but found I miss the quality of the game, and I'm coming back.  However, I've been gone so long and things have changed so much, that it's hard to catch back up, so any advice is greatly appreciated!

For this particular issue, though, I wanted to redo my masterpiece, "Operation Falling Anvil" and bring it up to date.  However, I've only got the pbo file and when I used the two different tools I could find to decompile it, it gives me files that I can't read most of.  There were a lot of custom sound files in the pbo, as well as complicated scripts that I don't remember how to recreate.

Another problem is trying to find the addons that I used then, to at least get it running again.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Wabbit

THis is the tool I use to de-PBO, works every time Amalfi's PBO-Decryptor (http://www.ofpec.com/ed_depot/the_files/OFPResources/tools/pbo_decryptor15.zip)

Check the mission.sqm in Notepad for a list of all the reuired addons, then pay a visit to OFP.info (http://www.ofp.info) and download what you need.. if they're still there :p

Also I'd sugges have a quick look through the comref and the ed depot tutorials to get yourslf back up to scratch.
