Title: Fade out of cutscene

Im making a really brief cutscene take place at a certain point in my mission. But im not using the scripted cutscenes because they never work properly. All the cutscene is, is a fade out...pause for maybe five seconds, then fade back in (during the five seconds, the time is skipped forward by an hour or so, to make a 'a few hours later' sort of thing). But i have no idea how. And if there is a way to do it without scripts then please let me know. If not, then could someone please make an example one? Despite all teh cutscene tutorials i have, i screw everything up!  ;D
