Title: Adding mortar launchers?

Hi there!

Ive been figuring out how to add mortars to my mp mission....i have suceeded but cant manage to add the mortar launcher....how can I do this.....i have added weapn cargo ¨mortar¨but it only adds the actual mortar and not the launcher.

What addons or mods are you using to get the Mortar launcher, becuase there is no mortars in standard ofp and other addons have different class names for the weapons.

Do you mean the mortar you can get that is placed on the end of your M16?

I think you are thinking of the M203 GrenadeLauncher.

Not quite the same as a mortar.

Just use the default M203 if it is a grenade launcher you want.

errm - he's talking about the plain 'mortar' for M16 or AK's - not about any
addons or so.

I can't help any further since i'm too far away from mission editing now but
if i remember right it's been just an addmagazine and ingame you had the choice
to mount the mortar onto your m16 or ak by action menu.  ;)

If i'm able to dig out one of my very old missions i can post yer an exact way to
solve your problem - meanwhile maybe someone else being able to help ya.

There is no 'mortar' for M16's or Ak's............It is GrenadeLauncher..........or nothing.

There is a rifle-launched mortar for the M16.  Whether or not there is one for the AK I don't know.  There isn't actually any weapon needs to be added to use the mortar, any soldier using the M16 can pick up and use the mortar.

Now, now, kids. Don't argue. There is indeed a mortar that can be shot from the M16. There is no separate mortar launcher, except the M16, I suppose. (I really don't know if it works with the AK74)

To load it, just select it from the action menu and do a "reload Mortar" thing. yep.

Have to admit I was wrong on this one, I should have known as I did the Models & Classnames resource.

My memory fails me sometimes.

Rifles that can use the 'mortar' shell are:

M16
M4

Mortar, the weapon uses .....modelSpecial="m16_mortar_proxy";
