Does anyone know if there is a flyable UAV addon available?

Ive seen em in the making but Ihate them, I dont know if any have been completed check around ofp.info (http://ofp.info)

The BW mod has a flyable UAV in their mod I think. So you can use it. It's pretty good.

Aint the point of a UAV that it is a "Unmaned Vehicle"??
So it needs to be scripted and controled by a ground control unit... ;)

I hate UAVs and stuff like that, the idea of being killed by a robot sounds horrible, like terminator.

but the only UAV's i know of which are with BW and at ofp.info, are man piloted.

Well, my fault. It is flyable from the ground, which means that you fly the thing by getting in a Fuchs and using the dialog screen that comes up to control the thing. With a camera stream from the UAV to see where you're moving towards of course.

We been working on UAV's for our FCS (Future Combat Systems) Mod for VBS.
However we got big problems geting them scripted, lag of pro scripters atm.
But I think I will look into the BWMod UAV to get some ideas...thx

Afaik FDF Mod was the first one to make an UAV... Dunno if it's the best there is though..
It's unarmed recoinnasance drone, controllable with a ground station...

The Operation Frenchpoint people also have a UAV, although it is also unarmed, it is like a mini-helicopter and can also be controlled with a ground station. I didn't actually fly around the enemy to see whether the AI shoots at it or not, but it was pretty good nonetheless. You can also have I think 6 or 8 UAV's at once, setting stuff like speed, rotation, height, camera angle, etc. Naturally it's hard to fly 8 at once....so typically you set the other 7 to a stationary position and then concentrate on the one....

Found one, and I can't remember where, called DragonWarrior. Works pretty good, but with some small glitches. Fills the billet. If anyone knows who the maker is, please let me know so that they can get proper attribution. Thanks for all the suggestions!
