Title: Modul Sky v0.85...installation help needed!

Can anyone help me to install this sky texture addon? The readme isn't very helpful: it instructs you to place the folder containing the files into your OFP folder (main folder I assume) and then run the installator.bat found inside. I have no problems until that point, but then the command prompt announces: 'Installation Complete. Now establish parameter -mod=@modulsky in a label of yours OFP'. I've done this before with another sky texture modification, but I can't remember how to do it.

How do I add the parameter?

What it wants you to do is:

Make a new shortcut to the OFP .exe and in the target field add....     -mod=@modulsky


So, make the shortcut, then right click it and choose Properties.

When the properties dialog is displayed, look for the Target field, it will look something like:

Code: [Select]

C:\Games\OperationFlashpoint\FLASHPOINTRESISTANCE.EXE

You add -mod=@modulsky onto the end of that line.......not forgetting to have a space after .EXE.......like so:

Code: [Select]

C:\Games\OperationFlashpoint\FLASHPOINTRESISTANCE.EXE -mod=@modulsky

Thanks, Planck. Did what you said and it works fine now.  :)

Does anyone know if the textured-sky version of OFPR is compatible with other players who haven't got the addon, or do other people I play online with need to have it in order for me to play the game?

Other people who don't have the addon won't see the beautiful sky your seeing.
You should be able to play with others who don't have the addon but In some cases where the MP servers do a check on the addons your running, you might not be able to play on those servers.
