Hi Flauta...
No, your post is not off-topic.
I am sorry, but I do not have any knowledge of anything by Bluelikeyou, and you have used the wroding "external mission editor", as opposed to "OFP script editor", but here are a couple of those that may help you:
1. Chris' OFP Script Editor, see URL:
http://www.chenderman.com/CHOFPSE.htm
2. xSQS-Edit, see URL:
http://www.contexx.net/xsqs/
Hope this helps...
Rich.

I actually remember this tool, never tried it but do remember it. The post was something like 'If you have a bad computer and cant play ofp, or your on holiday and dont have a copy of ofp You can use this'
Atleast thats what i remember. Am pretty sure it was in one of the beta testing boards on ofpec. Could be the Addons or Scripting beta boards.
Maybe try to search or just randomly guess some pages until you find it.

Hey,
Sorry, I never did finish the program. I never really got a chance to get involved with it. The time might pop up later, but I doubt that will happen. Some features were impossible to implement:
*Being able to fit the program on a disket. The size of the everon images were way to large.
*Previewing...turns out I couldn't figure out how to get java3d working in such a manner that it was useful, and the program would probably have required a great deal of memory.
As I said, I doubt that it will come out, but since there appears to still be an interest in it, I might something.
Thanks,
Bluelikeu

Allright.. I thing that my question is answered.. im glad that the forums returned!!!!!
About the program... maybe it will be a grat option.. even if you dont have any preview.. or the Island Images wont fit on a few diskettes.. I allwais get inspirated whit some good mission ideas.. but I need to open the flashpoint.. and thats boring.. its a "Heavy" program.. or at lest for my computer.... so I can't Chat propely.. or do something else like listen to music.. so a external Mission editor stills been a Great Idea...
(ho crap!! mi english suscks!!! try to figure out what I was triing to say)
for thoes who dont understand what the BlueLikeU program is.. look at the thread posted by Bedges...
thanks
P.D: heyy Im sooo happy that the forums are back!!!

In my opinion, the preview option isn't that important in an external editor. Most of the work (minus testing) is simply getting the mission laid out how you'd like it, and this tool would accomplish that. Previewing, in my opinion, fits into the area of testing, which would add a huge amount of work that I don't see as needed, but that's just my opinion.
