Does anyone know if the laser target designator works in Multiplayer or at all without scripting?
I tried different things like having the ai to point it while I fly a a10 and see if it painted a target for me, but it didnt, and I tried painting a target for ai in an a10, the ai seemed to take out the target aka tank, however when I put more tanks on the field, the ai didnt take out the one i painted.
Thanks for your help.

As far as I know the laser designator works fine in MP. The problems with AI selecting other targets than the one you have painted exists in SP as well. Check out Snypir's LD tutorial in the Editors Depot for more info.

Hi,
Yah I played with it on both of my computers and was able to get it to work in MP finally. I shouldve read what exactly laser guided meant then that would have solved half my problem. hence A10 (LGB) laser guided bomb. I was trying to use A10 with missiles. Now I realize how pointless it is to use missles and paint a target with laser.
Also I was able to get the ai to bomb a specific target that I painted. The only thing I found that was a catch now is that you have to make sure the AI is within range before u can send him the target.

Planck, no it's not there.
In the last post of yours it reads "In the meantime I have attached it to this post." but there is no attachment..

there seems to be an issue with attachments since the move, which we're looking into now. i for one can see and download the attachment on planck's post (http://www.ofpec.com/forum/index.php?topic=9742.0) linked above, but it seems not everyone can.
please keep the thread on topic until this issue is resolved. and after it's resolved too, actually. ;)
